Roger Maull is a Professor of Management Systems at Surrey Business School. Prior to joining Surrey he spent 16 years at the University of Exeter in various roles including Head of Department of Management and Director of the centre for research in Innovation and Service Research (ISR). His current research is into the impact of digital technologies on future economic activity including, IoT, personal data, wearables and digital currencies. He has published widely in leading journals including, IJOPM, Journal of Operations Management, Journal of Supply Chain Management.
In the last 4 years he has held a number of research awards including: lead investigator on RCUK’s NEMODE (£1.5m) project; lead investigator on the Crypto currency research project CREDIT, Co-Investigator on RCUK’s HAT project, Co-Investigator on RCUK’s Contrive project. Roger believes strongly in the importance of putting theory into practice and has written over 100 refereed publications based on his empirical research in sectors such as computing, banking, insurance, aerospace, national health service, telecoms and logistics.
