Dr Munir Abbasi is a senior researcher and project manager. He received his first degree in electrical engineering specialising in communication systems, and his PhD in interoperability of wireless technology in hybrid networks and quality of service from Brunel University. He has a broad range of experience (more than 25 years) working on various national and international programmes, projects and products in full life cycles from ideation to completion. He has worked for public and private sectors which include communications, defence and academia. He has been working and contributing to several EU funded projects including Base 2, Dyrect, TEL-MAP, HOTEL, FET-Art, Open Discovery Space, CRe-AM, ADVANCE and Designscapes projects.
His research interests are: technologies and tools for creativity and innovation, hybrid networks, design innovation, technology roadmaps, decision support systems, analytics, evaluation frameworks, impact, business models and sustainability strategy.
